Just change the tense to present and see if it makes sense.
Run it pass ❎
Run it past ✅
Past :)
Passed is the past participle of pass, ie a verb. Umm... Sorry if that second "past" just confused you more.
Yep. Just watch any of Thunderfoot's musk videos and you'll see that clip featured at least once.
It's not even working farmers, it's wealthy landowners hoarding land and then dodging tax, ie people like Jeremy Clarkson (who got butthurt when Victoria Derbyshire called him out on it).
That might be a bit awkward given I'm a woman!
It's tricky, because I would feel worse if anyone asked if I was okay. I'm very much an introvert and would just reply with I'm fine, or just pretend to not have heard you. But other people might appreciate the offer of a tissue and a chat.
Well, I mean, I didn't do it on purpose. I prefer to go somewhere private if I need a good cry, but when that's not an option, if I gotta let it out, I'm gonna let it out. I care less about strangers seeing me cry than people I know.
My android 6 tablet and my android 13 phone both do it when I have earphones in.
You can get away with it in London. Source: experience.
You can cry on the tube and the bus, and the rule of "don't make eye contact" means everyone just leaves you the heck alone and lets you get on with it it peace. I've twice cried while serving customers (after being bullied by a manager, two different jobs) and customers just try to get out of there. They might look at you a bit concerned but they mostly mind their own business.
What about blue whales?
I knew, even as I wrote it, that a trolleybus was beneath their contempt.
I used to buy mealworm for the garden birds, and I can confirm this warning is needed. I used to get told off by one bird if I took too long giving him his worms.
Here he is:
What if all the passengers were billionaires?
Well, obviously. You need a reset button for that.
And they're fighting over which takes fourth place.
"even though you're in your thirties and own your own home."
What? Where are you living that you can own a home in your thirties?!
What you guys doing over there? Ours are just itemised lists, payment method, and the transaction details etc. And usually a "how did we do" link.
We have bus lanes here. But during a tube strike, my bus was stuck at a traffic light for about 20 minutes, I'm not exaggerating. This was central London, and yes, it was all because of the cars clogging up the roads.
Most on the main road in my area is one person. How many times have I missed the bus and had to wait 20 mins for the next one, because I can't cross the road to the stop, because 4 people need to get by in their cars.
Did he do a naughty in his nappy again and they're telling him accidents happen, it's okay?
That photo is weird and creepy.
One win away from the title!

What was your favourite moment of the game?
A good budget helmet cam?
Any recommendations? I don't know if I want to splash out on something expensive. I was thinking of getting some cheap tat to act more as a deterrent, but then I thought, what if I actually need the footage? My commute is pretty short, but the amount of drivers who are happy to risk my life to shave 5 seconds off their journey is a problem.
Would any £5 cheapo camera make drivers think twice before trying to run me into the kerb or am I better off getting a decent quality camera? I'm cool with refurb/second hand.
California Dreams YouTube channel
California Dreams is an American teen sitcom that aired on NBC. It was part of the network's Saturday morning block, TNBC, premiering on September 12, 1992. The series featured 40 original songs performed by the band throughout the show's run, primarily written by Steve Tyrell.
It seems like it might be official, but it's hard to say. The video uploads are the same 360p, so maybe it's just another fan channel.
It does have most of the episodes, as well as many songs!
What are the easiest Pink Floyd basslines to learn?
I have a friend who's really into them, so I thought it would be a nice surprise if I could learn one of their songs for him. I'm just not familiar with their catalogue, so does anyone have any suggestions for where to start? My level is "advanced noob" :)
Today my friend is giving up smoking!
Not his first attempt, but I want to do whatever I can to encourage him to stay on the wagon this time. I don't have any experience of this, so I'd appreciate any tips from those who have been there already.
Edit 02/10: he's still clean!
I finally got my short scale!
Wow, the difference in quality between the Squier and the Donner is incredible. It just feels so much smoother to play, I don't get the rattle and it just sounds and feels better overall. I'm confused by the reviews comparing the Donner to a p-bass. There's no comparison. I'm so glad I finally got my hands on my mini! It looks like a doll's toy next to the standard scale though!
Oh and added bonus, the tone dial actually does something.
I'm still having trouble offloading my Donner. I can't even trade it in.
My phone's been on standby since May
And there's still this much battery left. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I wasn't expecting it to still have any power left at all. I suppose with the sim out, all it was doing was powering the clock, but still! Unfortunately, I've had to retire it as my network won't connect on it anymore.

Series 1 Was the Best
In Series 1, the show centred around the Garrisons, but featured enough of the other characters too. Matt Garrison was the natural leader of the band. He was basically the everyman character. He was the one who didn't get involved in the silliness of the other boys (Wooing Woo was incredibly OOC, Series 1 Matt would have stayed out of it), and he was the one who kept the band together.
Then they brought in Jake Somers.
I don't think Jake was a terrible character, but his addition to the show changed the dynamics too much. Sure, the band might have needed a second guitarist at times, but other than that, he wasn't needed as a permanent member. He came in and suddenly it wasn't about the Garrison family anymore, but about Jake. Matt goes from being the nice-but-assertive one to becoming Richie Cunningham to Jake's Fonz. Even though he was still the lead singer and nominal frontman of the band, Matt was constantly in Jake's shadow. Rather than being the natural leader of his own band, he was now intimidated by Jake.
I really don't blame Brentley Gore for bowing out after Series 2. If you look at the character of Mark Winkle, that's what would have happened to Matt and the actor saw that, and I'm glad he got to go before his character was completely wrecked.
The makeup of the band was just ridiculous once the Garrisons were written out. Jenny and Tiffani both had very different voices. I don't think Jenny could ever truly have been replaced, and while I liked the character of Sam, her voice was too similar to Tiffani's. She lacked the strength and depth of Jenny's vocals and it all became quite samey. Try to imagine her singing Castles on Quicksand or This Time... Do you see what I mean?
Replacing Matt with Mark was the single most pointless addition to the show (yes, even more pointless than Lorena). Matt was lead male vocalist and lead guitarist. So to replace Matt, they would need another lead male vocalist/guitarist. Except we now have Sam on keys and Jake on guitar and lead male vocals... and Mark on keys and backing vocals... except they didn't need another keyboard player, nor another male vocalist. He was redundant in the band. There was no point to him at all.
Also, I don't like the way Tony was sidelined in favour of Mark. There was the episode where he wrote a song for Sam, and it was still "Jake" singing it, even though we know Tony is a competent singer. They could have put Mark to use and put him on drums while Tony took the mic, as there was at least one episode where we see Mark on drums.
The problem with writing out the Garrisons is that the show then became nothing more than another high school sitcom. To me, Jake would have worked better as a solo act. There could have been a friendly rivalry between him and the Dreams, and sometimes they could even have roped him in when they needed a second guitarist.
The thing I disliked about Jake becoming the leader of the band is how he ruled by dominance, unlike Matt, who led because he was well liked and respected by the other band members. Jake was an outright bully to Sly, and while you might argue that Sly could be a jerk, he honestly wasn't that bad and he did have a conscience, even if he was fond of fighting it! Most of the time, he did mean well. You had characters walking on eggshells around Jake and that's not the sign of a good leader. I think Jake would have worked much better if Jenny had stuck around. She would have given as good as she got and kept him in check. They also made a much better couple than Jake and Tiffani.
Yeah, that relationship. At first, it seemed sweet: the tough guy and the ditzy surfer girl, but as the series went on, I didn't like the coupling at all. Tiffani seemed to lose her perky and fun personality, and while you would expect her to mellow out and mature a bit as she got older, I think a lot of it was down to Jake. It was too intense and for me, it just seemed a bit too OTT, and it made Tiffani fade.
At the end of Series 1, I actually thought Matt and Tiffani would be end-game (he did seem to like blondes!). There were several hints througout Series 1, but that's for another post!
What tracks would you choose for a greatest hits compilation?
If you could pick up to 13 tracks for a greatest hits album, which would you pick? Here's my selection, in no particular order:
- California Dreams
- She's Not You (Matt)
- If You Only Knew
- Into the Tube
- Rain
- Must be Love (Matt)
- Next Big Thing
- This Time
- Too Much to Dream
- Castles on Quicksand
- Love is Not Like This
- Everybody's Got Someone
- So Glad I Was There (and I would totally get Matt to re-record the lead vocals)
Sadly no Tiffani songs made it in, though I do like her ones (even Let me be the one! It's cheesy as heck, but fun).
Song Inspiration
Some of their songs are inspired by popular songs. Here are the ones I know of:
California Dreams - Seems to have a Beach Boys influence
This Time - Johnny Hates Jazz - Shattered Dreams
So Glad I Was There - The Beatles - In My Life
I'm sure there are more! What others can you think of?
Catcher? I hardly know 'er!

Is there software that can take tabs in pdf form and output the audio?
Hey, guys. I paid $30 for some tabs, but they're way too hard for me to work out. It's mostly the timing I'm struggling with (I'm used to yousician and songsterr telling me when to play a note) and my ear isn't good enough to work it out just from listening to the original song. Is there any software that can either output the audio or even just add a timing guide like songsterr? Thanks.
