I’m glad that my grandparents are dead, because they would be absolutely horrified to see the state this country has put itself into. My grandfather fought against the Nazis and the fascists in World War II, not to mention the fact that he was a Jew. Both of my grandparents loved their neighbors and their friends and their family, no matter what. What I especially remember is their kindness to strangers.
If they were alive to see this time of suspicion, hate, and authoritarianism, I believe it would kill them.

Frankly, I think the worst part is that TSA agents are far more likely to steal things out of your luggage than any random person on the street. It’s a real problem.
Yes, they also, at a very high rate, miss dangerous items hidden in luggage. The thing is, however, in real life, it is extraordinarily rare that anyone would try to do that. 99% of the time, it’s a TSA agent freaking out over fingernail, clippers, or some silly thing like that.
I’m most concerned about the ridiculous cost of it all, and how much better that money could be spent.
I would calculate the amount of money I would need to keep in investments and in my bank account in order to generate, in interest/returns,etc, the amount I would need to live comfortably for the rest of my life. I would then donate the rest to various charities.
It probably comes down to how the show was originally shot and/or upscaled.

Yeah, I’m not really looking for shows that show off the 4K. I’ve had 4K TVs before. I’m just trying to be a bit discriminating regarding what I spend hard drive space on. I don’t wanna get a huge video file in 4K if the 4K experience isn’t worth it. You know what I mean?
What movies do you recommend that actually benefit from 4K rendering?
Due to a recently increased upload speed, I can now stream to some of my users 4K content from my Plex server. However, I do not have infinite hard drive space, so I would, at least initially, prefer to limit my 4K collection to films and TV show shows that actually benefit from it.
Personally, and with several of my friends, we’ve come to the agreement that 4K video has about as much advantage as 720 versus 1080. It’s not that big of a leap, and often not entirely worth the upgrade (when accounting for the hard drive space consideration, the added darkness, etc). However, with some films and TV shows, it really does make a huge difference.
With that in mind, what films and TV shows would you recommend that definitely benefit from 4K viewing?
When I attended a conference at the UN, there was but a tiny fraction of the amount of security required to enter then is required to go through an airport. Yet, I still felt more safe at the UN.
