Greatest video game ever played?
  • Biggest surprise: Final Fantasy tactics. Bought it for PSOne, PSP and Android.

    Time spent playing: WoW

Story: (though category to pick one) Deus Ex

Honorable mentions: Day of the Tentacle Minecraft Final Fantasy VII Diablo Mass Effect series Portal series Half Life series

  • Greatest video game ever played?
  • That game is one of my saddest histories. As a bit to young to play it I bought it and found it immensely boring just slogging through the dungeon at the start. Didn't understand the weapon system. Eventually after several tries I got into the city proper but couldn't handle that first boss fight. Put it aside and never picked it back up again. Still have the game somewhere. No PSOne tho'

  • All baking recipe ingredients should be in weight, not volume.
  • Density of whole milk according to first google answer is 1,034g/cm^3.

It's been a while, but would that make it 438,68 ml?

Edit: But I totally agree with your statement. SI/ metric units is superior in every way with how easy it is to convert between them. At university in Norway I had American textbooks in all but one of my chemistry classes and all used SI/metric and proper names for the elements

  • Norwegian mass killer Breivik says his attacks were 'necessary' in parole bid
  • The maximum sentence is 21 years of "forvaring" that translates to 'keeping" it's not a regular prison sentence as it can be prolonged indefinatly. It's for the worst offenders that are a danger to others as long as they have not improved during the sentence. Usually all prison sentences will include increasing length of leaves. Few hours with guards at first, then with half way house personell and in the end weekends and weeks alone. Breivik had had none so far, and is the only one who have little or no contact with other inmates.

  • Men of Lemmy, how old were you when you found out that bra cup sizes are not standardized in the slightest?
  • It used to be that any DC skating shoe size 12 for me. Could just pick a model and leave the store. Then they became a fashion brand rather than a skateboard brand and suddenly it was made for tiny model feet.

A got older with an older body I just get the Bondi8 for summer and Kaha for winter as HOKA does wide and quarter sizes.

  • Period tracking app refuses to disclose data to American authorities
  • As a man who have been with the same woman the last 20 years I have an extremely limited experience in the field of periods to put it mildly, but what benefits does using these apps give you.

Could you get the same effect from an airgapped notebook?

  • The office is empty at 6:30? Preposterous
  • I mean does anybody other than blowhards full of nothing but air use or care a out LinkedIn? The last job they tried to push on me was working in a local five and dime in the city centre mall. Not disrespectinf the fine people who work there, but how do my master in thermodynamics and 20 years of experience with explosives fit in there?

  • Yes, your illegal Columbian girlfriend should also be deported
  • Read about this in a Bill Bryson book. Cant remember the details. But during the 50s the US "government" discovered that a Finnish born man (with legal residens and married to an American woman) had been a member of the Finnish communist party in his youth. The shipped him out on the first plane for Europe, and only told gis wife after the plane landed

  • Decision Time
  • I will now cut back on all social media. Lemmy included as I get a depression from what's happening in the US. What is painfully obvious is that we Europeans must stop fucking around and federate so that we have a fucking chance wedged in between despots and idiots.

  • Linux Mint and Framework Laptops Join Forces
  • I am semi-literate in "computers". That means I can build my own PC, do no coding, but manage to troubleshoot most things by sheer stubborness, search and the odd question on a "forum" In other words not afraid of tech.

I can't be bothered to sift through endless overengineered BS for a PC to do the few things I need it to do these days. Web browser, Steam and streaming, while not scraping every ounce of personal data and sending it to various entities for nefarious purposes. I have Mint, it works out of the box and I don't have to tinker with it, but enough customizability if I want to.
