On the contrary, art has intrinsic value to those who experience it. Why commission public murals, Why commission public statues and sculptures, if art has no intrinsic value?
I mean, productivity in what sense? Artists can be considered productive with just one completed piece.

It can’t be made in your own country for $7, because:
- Wages aren’t set artificially low in your country, due to currency values and exchange rates.
- The raw materials aren’t available in your country (would either need to be mined or imported)
- The factory to create the parts from the raw materials doesn’t exist in your country and will need to be designed, permitted, built, and workers will have to be hired and trained. And the wages for the designers, construction companies, engineering companies, and workers will all be higher than those in China.
- The factory to assemble the parts from the factory above doesn’t exist either. Same issue as above.
- All of the above will take at least a few years to accomplish, and the wages will still be higher than those in China.

Mother-in-Law bought family tickets to Medieval Times for tonight, but they're on strike and scabs are doing the show...
She bought the tickets without knowing about the strike. We accepted the gift without knowing about the strike.
She's a Republican and still wants to go and cross the picket line. She doesn't care.
My wife understands my hesitancy, but says that it's too late, and so we have to go regardless.
The kids are really looking forward to it.
I just feel so horrible. But I have to go with them.
What can I do to make amends?
