Billi was a 12 yo cat, who later learned to use like 50 words using buttons (if not more). Unsurprisingly, the favourite word was "mad". So if someone can teach an elderly cat to talk, you can teach a young border collie to play fetch.
They need to survive a month trying to sell something at inflated prices to then discount it. That generates losses for them - storage, space on the shelves, delayed new stuff etc. It's long enough to force them to actually discount shit.
Yeah, heels to the ground, comrade found. Heels to the sky, CIA spy. This meme is like the first time I'm hearing of an "asian squat".
A lot of rules help with that. I have one that says "a bad in hindsight decision is better than no decision". Ultimately, think about something but when you get stuck just "yolo" it, instead of doing nothing. So far haven't regretted it. Also, repeated decisions having paths set in stone based on previous experience. I.e. I'm in bed, cozy, but start to feel the need to pee. I always get up to go to the toilet instead of holding it in.
Depends on what you are manufacturing. Making shit with mills, CNC, lathes, injection molding? That's not a problem. CMM, EDM and very precise CNC? Yeah, that needs a machine with a high upfront cost. It all depends on if you are able to get customers and if you have the raw resources / the raw resources don't price you out of existence. Overseas manufacture is worth it because it used to be cheap labor costs. You had to fix a lot of things, but it was still cheaper than making it 100% in house. Then China started becomming less competetive and it still was cheaper, but barely. Add onto it a 30% tarrif and the entire equation changes.
Again, it probably will be painful. But we will have to see.
After looking at it for a short while, they can. Ignore the first pawn / don't take it if in the center. If on the sides, they just played to your plan. Attack right or left side near the end of the board and trade till you reach the bottom. If they don't react to you doing that, they lose material while you keep it. Can't decide which is better - the king side or queen side. Attacking kingside means you have one pawn less to take, queen side means the queen gets into the game faster and gives you a bit more flexibility. But ya - one rook at the last rank and it's just a matter of time - each pawn can only move one, while your pieces have an easier time. Bonus points for getting a knight to do a smothered check mate, otherwise two rooks, rook queen on the backrank is GG. Watch out for the "scholars mate" with a pawn - that's possibly the best move by white since you cannot avoid it by ignoring it. Then again, it's on the side of the board and you can get rid of your pawns in an equal trade. Similar situation on the queens side, with them getting the queen, but then it might not be as important? There seems to be a few tricks to take too.
There is a variant of chess with 36 pawns. The front side squares are empty, and two in the front, where king and queen are for Black. Black has all of their pawns and white has no king. The game is harder since you cannot just beeline for the king as I have mentioned above. Also, in horde chess the pawns that are on the 1st and 2nd rank can advance twice, unlike normal chess rules. So ya, possibly a black victory exists
Compared to importing for 30% extra? The only reason that would happen is some mass market collusion. The prices will go higher, then manufacturing picks up locally, driving prices down, lower than it was previously - since you don't need to ferry them across an ocean. Foreign goods would be 30% more expensive.
At least that's the theory / how it is supposed to work. In reality, probably a shitton of issues, a new great depression and not much more manufacturing potential as a result. There will be tarrifs on the US too, needlessly closing off trade both ways.
Yeah and then there's Bezos there too!
Honestly, it's pot calling kettle. Shatner is a huge dick, most of the people that worked with him have a "Shatner" story to tell. It's karma when you have a moment and get it ruined by an asshole, just as you have ruined countless others.
I get it, it is a unique, once in a lifetime experience. But so is for a fan to meet him. So is a teenage actor meeting their idol after taking weeks to work up the courage. And he shat'nered all of those without any remorse.
It's night and day, even between the "previous" version and this 1.0 release. You can change the navigation, they have presets that mimic other CAD programs / modelling software, so you can even have Blender style shortcuts if you want to for some reason.
Yeah because that's not their job lol.
It's not middle management, it's the CEOs. They bought a building and need to justify it, or it is worthless. Unused buildings fall apart. Can't rent it out, because nobody would do that. Can't convert to housing, since the plumbing and electrical are setup for an office building, not for a bunch of flats. Redoing that would cost a metric fuckton and never bring any profit.
Mine does that too! I can blow raspberries on his tummy. Not doing that tho :D
Naaah. I made like 40 longtime steam friends because of playing on the same gmod server. Was lucky to find a server that had the most insane creators on it. You went onto any other server, they used what we made on that one. Drunk Combine, tanks, jets (including working VTOL), we had artillery that worked the same way it did in World of Tanks. 95% of the players there were insane at Expression 2 - which was a scripting / programming language that let you interact with the physics of the game in awesome ways.
I put the best 750hrs of my life into that server. It was called "Unsmart's" after the dude that hosted it. Closed down after a few years when the people moved onto other games. There was a shortlived revival, but it was more of a "reunion" than anything else. Still have everyone as friends and could probably get them together by pinging the group if I wanted to.
Why should I experience "common experiences / traits" when medication helps? You don't need your leg to be chopped off before you can take a painkiller.
