The weird thing to me whenever anyone complains how much memory a browser takes up, is what do they think the free RAM is doing otherwise? It's free so why can't an application use it? And that's what browsers do, taking the memory to use as a cache, and releasing it back to the system if available memory dips below some threshold.
If you don't use Twitter then I don't see any reason to try Bluesky since it could basically be described as classic Twitter. But if you liked Twitter until it because a cesspit of far right shitheads, crypto bros, bots, and ads then give Bluesky a go.
Over a million people joined Bluesky after the election and seem to be using it. Also a lot of news & media companies have moved over too. So I would assume that at least that many users have disappeared from X or their activity has diminished. On top of that all the bots have gone home now the election is over so the amount of activity must have suffered. And Bluesky is basically old Twitter so people are settling into it and liking it.
I would advise anyone who still using X to give it a try. And if they want to use X for whatever reason - uninstall the app, install Control Panel for Twitter into their mobile browser and browse that for a relatively bullshit free experience - no ads, no algorithmic lists, just what you subscribe to.
And downloading updates is a good thing. Means that the fresh installation isn't vulnerable to something that was fixed between when the USB / DVD was pressed and the time the person installed it.
Linux has made leaps and bounds with usability and ease of installation but it's no better than any other modern OS - which is a good thing. Installing Windows from a USB stick is not difficult - the simple path is literally, pick a language, select your wifi, choose who is logging in, click install and go grab a coffee. About the only difficulty if you can call it one is that some installs will ask for a serial number because it's a commercial product.
Also, the number of questions & buttons during installation is one thing but the certainty of a functioning system is another. Linux is better at supporting old hardware, Windows is better at supporting new hardware. Choose accordingly if that matters.

I hadn't checked all models but I knew that in the model Y there is a rubber mat in the door bin, that you remove, and under that is a hatch and under that is something you can pull. I had a look at the model X manual and it does seem to be under a panel by the speaker. So either way it is basically impossible for rear occupants (or front occupants who retreat to the back) to open those doors in an emergency.
The simple answer would be to put manual releases front, back and on the hatch. I assume that when a Tesla crashes it isolates the power, so it would also be necessary for things like door locks to automatically disengage, or be disengaged by the manual release otherwise that's no good either.
Tesla car doors have manual releases in the front doors but not in the rear doors. Or rather, there are manual releases in the rear doors but they are hidden under a hatch under the rubber matting in the door bins so effectively nobody is going to find them in an emergency. So if your car is on fire and you're injured or panicking & you're unaware about the manual release then you're going to die. Now to be fair, the front manual release in the Tesla model 3/Y is fairly discoverable (it's a handle above the electric windows) but it's not so obvious in older models. The Cybertruck has similar manual releases as the 3/Y but with toughened glass I wonder how long before we see someone drown or burn to death and bystanders were unable to rescue them.

Javascript doesn't "just work". It's a language originally designed to glue actions to html elements and it is fundamentally broken in ways that will be never be fixed. Weird syntax, weird type coercion, horrible base types & functions, surprises galore. Even Typescript, which is basically a precompiler, is just JS with some type checking. The only reason anyone uses either is because it is ubiquitous - people have to use it.

But I suspect that even if the judge handed him time in prison it wouldn't be four years and would almost certainly be appealed or delayed to be mostly irrelevant. He is absolutely right that it should be scrapped, or failing that, every eligible voter in every state is automatically enrolled in the electoral college and their ballot is also their vote cast in the college, i.e. render the whole thing a technical irrelevance. It shouldn't even be seen as a political thing. Votes in deep red states are just as disenfranchised as those in deep blue states. Voting Republican in California or New York is as disenfranchising as voting Democrat in Texas. So if democracy is the intent, then it should be scrapped and not left to the usual "swing state" BS.
Seems like a plausible strategy. If the roof is lashed down it can't catch the wind and therefore is less likely to weaken over time and go flying. Certainly better than doing nothing.
I’ve heard from several sources that the iron is supposed to be good for the diet. I love my carbon steel and cast iron kitchenware. All of the studies I’ve seen show it as a superior option to PFAS cookware and will still outlast the latest ceramic options. I have a very non-stick carbon steel pan and griddle from avocado oil seasoning.
You didn’t mention that you’re oiling it after drying it. It’s recommended that you lightly oil the surface upon storage.
I think cast iron will definitely outlast ANY non-stick, no question. For non-stickiness though it's basically on the tolerable end - put oil in it and most stuff will slide around but sometimes you don't want too much oil so its a trade off. I think stainless steel is a great option in its own right - it's not really non stick but it can be made tolerable with oil and can be scrubbed back to condition and thrown in the dishwasher.
I sometimes coat my cast iron pan in oil, but more often than not I don't.
