ouch.
hahahahah oooook
only one party is pushing a white christian nationalist regime highlighting the desire for dictator like, militaristic control. only one. but you keep lying to yourself and others, it will prolly make you feel good misusing the term.
nice try mcp
im not fallin for it
i think the fact he was turned so easily proves he shouldnt have been trained to the extent he was. that single failure caused the eventual death of millions
ahhh i get it. sorry to be so snarky
Great example is those loops videos. I want to watch them or at least give them a chance but I'm not leaving Lemmy to do so.
duuuude i totally agree. the only reason i cant use loops is it doesnt freakin work without their app, or embedded.
mbin properly receives the ' ! %comm name @ domain ' natively instead of the 'full' 'domain/c/comm ' url if the remote community has never been accessed from the local instance before.
i got redirected to the remote system instead it opening locally in your link (or a local 404, of forgot), but after i loaded as the first person on the instance, its now available locally for everyone which is why it prolly worked for you over here when you tested.
ya know whats better? bein able to open the single-image content without navigating off the site. pffft
hahaha you really need to read up on the definition of fascism, you clearly are unfamiliar. or just a GOProjectionist.
the biggest failure that happens when we give resources directly to homeless people is not also providing the support systems that prevent the relapse in the first place. we dont provide for social services that give them regular human contact that has been proven to lower drug and alcohol addiction issues.
'non-profits'... charities... are just not enough to provide these services, it needs to be a systemic, over-arching process and not the one-off solutions those 'non profit' agencies provide.
ha, you really need to ask about what to do with pure carbon?
these are just scientists attempting to find a way to extract precious metals without destroying the environment. dont chase the perfect ignoring the good research.
yeah I forget how terrible the lemmy site is being able to access its content on a site that doesnt look like some forgot the css.
My favorite app for the fediverse is firefox on both mobile and laptop.. but I use an instance that 'just works', mbin-based

the story is about his claim. and he claims things all the fucking time that arent true. but go on, keep pointing out how a racist liar is a-ok to his base. its more telling than why dems stayed home letting kamala lose by a few million votes.
nothing like avoiding the main topic eh. good job.
the convicted felon also says he pays his bills and doesnt rape women. why would anyone believe any words that come out of his mouth?
e. oh look, lying liars been called out on his lie

It will be responsive, supporting phone, tablet, and computer screen sizes along with everything in between.
isnt this already what browsers do? why reinvent the wheel here
goodbye, diane
i rescued a green cheek conure going on a decade now. a friend to sit with me while I worked. my first bird, my kids grew up with her.
i write this from the vet who has just put her down. she was far older than we expected and was sick for the first time... the last time.. this week.
hug your bird.
First Blood (1982)
arguably (prove me wrong!) one of stallones best movies.
the entire subsequent rambo franchise feels like a farce compared to the original.. they dont even feel part of the same universe.
gritty.. realistic without being over the top (remember that one?!). a good movie makes you feel, and this movie makes me so angry. the revenge is almost justified.
being the early 80s the political fallout of vietnam was still hot on everyones minds. ostracized vets a serious reality.
the small town redneck sheriff always makes for a great villain. that ignorant evil is a valid antagonist even today. brian dennehy was amazing. you just want to punch him in the face. if you look close you can spot a baby faced david caruso.
so what do you peeps think of this masterpiece?
the worst part of being dead is not getting to enjoy the down time
death is wasted on the dead
e. i was indeed wet when i had this thought
this is not a hall of shame. the intent is to awaken you to many of the peculiarities and weirdness of computers. hopefully, after reading these articles, you will have learned a lot and will embrace chaos.
ive always appreciated the iceberg

The Love Boat 77-87
with the recent death of the shows theme-song singer jack jones, i thought id give this a rewatch having not seen it since it aired..
i found it more entertaining than i expected.. at least so far. im not sure how it made it to 10 seasons, but some highlights ive noted...
-
cast is introduced as crew, and not even by character name except julie!!
-
at least 3 or 4 celebrity appearances every episode! its kinda neat seeing all these old stars out of their element in small vignettes. seriously every star you can think of of this era seems to have popped on.
-
the ship is so freakin tiny. you have to think there are mega-yachts bigger these days
-
writing can be funny. the relationship 'advice' is somewhat dated, but not inappropriate at times. 'family ties' mom (MBB) is in a centerfold the first episode!
so far it could have been titled 'the apology boat' due to the wraps ups of most stories almost completely entail confession and apology.
The 23-year-old said she was in the 'worst pain she'd ever felt'.
Lemmy mod considers labeling toddler-saving man 'hero' as 'That's your Opinion'
A HERO neighbour smashed a window to save a boy after he was stabbed alongside a “blood-soaked” mum and daughter. The two-year-old tot was terrifyingly knifed in the frenzied attack in …

Bears blow themselves with 2 seconds on the clock
The Chicago Bears need to make sure one gut-wrenching loss doesn’t snowball into a lost season. A team that rolled into its bye with three straight wins is now reeling after falling 18-15 on a Hail Mary touchdown at Washington on Sunday.
Ohio judge prevents AG from taking a sh*t on constituents constitutional amendment
A judge has permanently blocked enforcement of Ohio's ban on virtually all abortions. Hamilton County Judge Christian Jenkins on Thursday cited voters’ approval last November of Issue 1, which created a constitutional right for people to make their own reproductive decisions.
remembering Northern Exposure
what an amazing dramedy.
especially the first several seasons. so many wonderful characters, it really has something for everyone.
buttery voiced john corbetts seamless radio-narration and its philosophical bent fits right in with a town full of quirky personalities. the indigenous population playing a wonderful straight-man to the town.
it even holds up well. the remoteness denotes a lack of tech that isnt too far out of place today.
this is one of those shows where you just want to be a part of it.
it could also never be replicated/rebooted successfully... lighting striking twice and all that.
anyone else have such fond memories of northern exposure? im about to start my per-decade rewatch.

on old sitcoms, why did they make a point of saying 'filmed before a live studio audience'?
its so ubiquitous it feels like it was a requirement..
