Rebuilding 3 legacy systems? Anyone want to bet against a cost blow out?
If I have learnt one thing over the last decade it's that no good deed goes unpunished.
So I looked it up. Google's AI search results say ”While Tokyo is often listed as one of the most expensive cities globally, its rental costs are often lower than cities like London or New York when considering comparable apartment sizes. ”
Being cheaper than two of the most expensive capitals in the world doesn't seem like it qualifies as objectively affordable. More research needed I guess.
Low rents in Japan? This is news!
God I wish Australia would do this. For a baking hot country there are so few car parks with any shade. Occasionally there will be a handful of trees that cover a quarter of every 20th car. Just enough to piss you off when inevitably yours is not that car.

Fight turd with turd
Maybe that will be Ubisoft's next demand of Valve. Might just work.

”Why does the dude in the middle look so punchable? I swear its not just because of him being an asshole.”

Different angles maybe?
Thereby removing fines as a deterrent next time. Genius.
Sensible. Thanks.

The rest: 2 executed, 1 released, 1 dead of cancer.
You probably guessed, but it's Ozempic and it's ilk.

But Ilmari Kaihko wonders whether that is practical for everyone.
“Where do you stash it if you have a big family living in a small apartment?”
I suspect you may end up with a smaller family, thereby making room for the water you didn't have.
Home made oilcloth. Slight disaster, advice appreciated
I've made my first attempt at oilcloth. Used linseed oil (boiled I think but I no longer have the container), turpentine in equal parts, and iron oxide (quarter part). Looks beautiful, but...
First problem is it just won't dry. Been hanging under cover in a well-ventilated area for a few weeks and it's still very tacky. I'm guessing I just need to leave it longer.
More of an issue though is the iron oxide leaves residue whenever it's touched. Any ideas on how to get rid of the excess? Google does not appear to be my friend today.
Any help greatly appreciated!
