What people are like when they make the choices to pursue what intrests them as a job.
I think the licking rocks is fairly standard geologist behaviour
Stuff like this makes me regret not pursuing academics. Working by yourself blue-collar isn't as entertaining.

  It can. Usually you end up building something goofy as hell.

is this surprising to folks. people if not attending or teaching in the class are largely in the lab without a whole lot of time for a personal life. Its the reason big tech has foozball tables.
- Is it? I thought the reason big tech has Foosball was, essentially, to trick hirees and gaslight people looking for better benefits.
