You do have some control, in the form of copyright. Also the analogy doesn’t hold up well since you’re not using their “pen” and they only let you reach inside through the window. And the audience is outside the house.

What screws?

Fair enough to feel that way, but we’re taking about windows here.

Also that you’ll have to do it again when Microsoft decides to reset the option behind your back. And pushes you away from changing it (default browser option). And ignores it (default browser option).
