Defiant Joe Rogan insists he’s not a propaganda asset, just actually this stupid
  • Many years ago, I actually enjoyed listening to his podcast but it's hardly reminiscent of the goofy stoner podcast it used to be. Back when artists like Alex Gray would come on and talk about their inspirations or whatever drugs they were on when they created a masterpiece. Or when Maynard James Keenan would get on and talk about TOOL and wine making. Or about how many chimps you could fight before getting your limbs torn off your body. It was stupid, had variety, was largely innocent and Joe wasn't even close to wielding the influence he has now. About 6 years ago it stared shift gears and I just couldnt be bothered to catch-up on any episodes. It was just getting so dull, more mainstream and drawn out. But then came 2020 and covid 19, that was it. It was no longer a show for stoners on long drives or just coming home from work and wanting to hear some mindless brain candy. Shit was getting dangerous with his guests and he gave them a larger platform than even network TV stations could everhope for. At the exact same time, he basically sold his soul to Spotify for $500M. So he had a much wider audience, more money than anyone could ever need in 100 lifetimes and the show was now officially about listeners and ratings thanks to Spotify. I'm now too embarrassed to even mention I was an early fan IRL anymore. I don't understand why people still listen to or engage with him, his show and all the quacks he brings on. There was a reason he rose to popularity but that reason has long since died. All we get is more bullshit and misinformation posed as truth. Nobody took it seriously enough to even care about the dumb shit people said on his show then bc it was comedy centric. Now it political and a major artery by which deliberate misinformation is distributed to the masses.

  • That is me with tequila. A teenage JPSound had no experience with alcohol and went to house party with my own bottle of tequila I stole from my neighbor's dad's massive booze stash. I knew I've seen adults drink many beers before, I can probably do the same with this too. I mean, alcoholis alcohol, right?....nope. That was ~25 years ago and to this day I can't stand the smell of tequila. Instant nausea and smells like poison to me.

  • Drake lost a rap battle so badly, he's filing lawsuits.
  • My brother-in-law's father is one of the most sought-after knee and back surgeons in the state where they live. To say this guy knows his shit would be an understatement... outside of the operating toom, I've never met someone so clueless. Somedays it amazes me he somehow managed learning to put his pants on first, and THEN his shoes. Hes not mentally disabled whatsoever yet struggles to grasp concepts that require any meaningful thought and yet is a very well know highly skilled, knowledgeable and talented leader in his very advanced field for ~30 years and still going strong. There's nothing wrong with him aside from being a bubbly airhead.

  • Spicy food: aftermatch
  • I'm no health food nut but I don't know how anyone can consume Taco bell. I love tacos, and all the other food types on their menu but... taco bell? I cant do it. So nasty. If I'm gunna go out for tacos, Ima swing by an authentic hole in the wall Mexican joint and have a sweet abuelita warp that magic in a golden corn tortilla for the same price and maybe 3 minutes slower than the TB drive in line.

  • Elon Musk's new 'department' seeks 'super high-IQ' staff for unpaid jobs
  • "High-IQ" aka boot lickers who agree with everything Musk says or does and are willing to do so for no compensation. And let's consider those who have the financial means "work" for free. The over privileged fundees who think they earned their wealth by hard work even those its all daddy's money... Rining any bells? Unpaid positions are exactly what we don't need to help with combat our economic woes anyways.

  • Throw the gates wide open
  • I made a kick ass cover for my smoker for pennies on the dollar and a higher quality custom fit than anything I could ever purchase. All my favorite cloths look far newer than they actually are, as well. I recently learned how to properly do Zippers and now all my winter cloths have brand new hardware saving me god knows how much by not needing to buy new cloths.

  • TIL that India cut the Pythagorean theorem—Edit: its similarity proof—, periodic table, and evolution from mandatory education in June 2023 Edit: before adding it back a week later
  • That statement alone speaks to his fundamental misunderstanding of what evolution is. Stupid people not knowing a subject, understanding their entirely flawed guess is wrong (I agree with them there) yet not realizing WHY they're wrong, then barring it because how ridiculous what they think it is sounds. Dunning something something Kruger something. I'm 100% for teaching kids that gorillas just dont turn into humans and actually teach them what evolution means.

  • Throw the gates wide open
  • I'm a 38 yo straight dude with a potty mouth and a bad attitude. I love sewing. Idky and I'm terrible at it but it gives me the good feels so I practice as much as my brain will allow.

  • The office is empty at 6:30? Preposterous
  • $100 says he left immediately after taking these photos. Dr.Hustler PhD here is using precious company time to write a chapter's worth of bullshit. Get back on that horse, it's time to work.

Edit: I finally get it! This must have been what Rage Against the Machine meant when they said, "Can't waste the day when the night brings a Hurst." Still not sure how, "Rollin' down Rodeo with a shotgun," fits in this pro corpo anthem but maybe I'm just not a hard enough worker to get it. Bad tradeoff indeed.

  • Again ?
  • Some of us try our best. We really do. Unfortunately, we swim in a cesspool of idiots and at time it feels impossible to influence the tides of stupidity. It's embarrassing to me. It really is. Shameful and embarrassing.

  • Drop your most "wtf that's not how the world works" from movies/tv shows.
  • There's only one example I can think of where this isnt the case. I don't remember the whole story but I saw a YT video about this kid who got arrested for hacking Rockstar games. He ended up getting arrested and while in federal custody in some hotel room, he successfully hacked them again with a fucking amazon fire stick. After that he told the judge that we had no intention of stopping. Being under the age of 18, I don't think he really had any harsh consequences but good for him, that legend.

Edit: so he was 18 during the second hack. And GOT A LIFE FUCKING SENTENCE?!?!?!
