Ha, and more on the same point russia just closed the ruble market. So no more trading in rubles and no more ruble values being released.
Should invest in Rands.
Ohhh you know what would be even better. That if the article complained about ai on LinkedIn was written with ai.
Right?
Entertainingly only really for the federal government. Of all the provinces only Alberta and PEI have broke even or made anymoney.
Not saying there is not potential tax revenues, just that right now most provinces spend more then they collect for one (corruption) reason or another (needing to be seen being "tough" on drugs).
Well this is the most wall st bets sort of thing I have seen on lemmy.
Why would you think anything will go up under orange man? The guy who is kinda famous for being an isolationist? The guy using tariffs to wage economic war on the USs closest allies?
I mean with the same sort of logic, buy South African Rands.
Wonder if they tried heating the milk up to 63 degrees C for 30 mins before consumption?
Maybe that would help.
It's terrifying federal workers
Well yeah, that is clearly the point.
Biden was able to move 6-7 million more people to vote than Kamala, whereas Trump got about the same as he got in 2020.
Trump got more votes then Kamala, that is how elections work. There was not 6-7 million people not voting (2.6 million delta from 2020), but more people showed up for the orange man and this blaming non-voters is just lame.
Second highest voter turnout in the US. A difference of only 2,624,285 as per University of Florida estimates so far (the number is likely to go down).
This excuse is getting old.
One, you are assuming people who did not vote would vote dems.
Two, you are pushing blame to the voters who did not show up (and based on the lack of choice it is wild so many showed up)
Three, by pushing that blame on to voters you are almost asking for this to happen again. (By letting the dems keep being crap, pissing off voters, and getting people angry at their neighbours helps the republicans)
Here in Alberta the Hiways have ribs in the centre and ether side. You can drive in your lane by "feel" even when covered in snow.
The plate carrier type of goatse, that congrats you now made a thing.
I had to put it down until at least that one bug is addressed. Just hope that my save is not made invalid.
I would if I could not progress the main story and do side stuff until a patch just before the "swamp" mission. I had the Psi storm as well but also a full on emission (took 20 health packs and just ignoring the mutant to run to the end).
I sent in a ticket and put the game down for now, I want to play but would have to see if I have a save maybe 10 hours back.
Oh and some of the main missions are WAAAAAY to long. All my stuff is in tatters by the end of that one 5 hour mission and I am fat walking half way into most missions.
Had to stop after about 40 hours. Game is borked at this point and can not do the quest "on the edge".
Some thoughts on the good:
- Like the maps and new sound
- Like the combat
- No loading screens is great
- It feels like a Stalker game
Some thoughts on the bad:
- The economy is borked, artifact hunting is one of the least profitable things you can do.
- Not enough stores/loot dumps for how much the game makes you become a loot goblin (I don't mind being one). I end up having to fat waddle a km often.
- The nature of enemies spawning a few feet from you is a major issue (I have been looting a body, get shot, fight the new bandits off, loot them, get shot in a loop)
- Emissions happen even during main quest events, and can soft lock you (I got an emission during a part in the game when you are in a swamp, right as a scripted mutant fight kicked off.)
- Mutants are too much of a bullet sponge. (the snorks are about right, a single buckshot blast to the head as they leap works. The 8 shotgun head shots to a bloodstalker at point blank less so)
- Unreal 5 is bad, its just not ready. This is not on the stalker 2 team, but I think in 40 hours I have had 10 crashes, 6 failed to starts and at least 3 times I have had to restart my whole PC to get the game loaded again (I more then make the req specs)
Some thoughts on the annoying/weird:
- The lighting is just bad, not the end of the world but no nightvision or working flashlight make nights and poor weather just a pain (and that would be a good thing if not for the next point)
- The amount of just OK weather/daylight is rare to the point of being shocking. (I remember getting to see on a nice day and the game looked so different)
- The sound of the storms is loud and since it is so constant playing the game becomes frustrating.
- Cut-scenes are mostly stupid and un needed in modern games (they look the same as the game and in this case you get sick of skifs stupid little pea shooter and stupid actions)
- Repairs are just wildly off, you will have guns you loot as yellow become red just from the trip back to a store.
Not sure how its done in your country, but there are very much windows 7 machines here "raw dogging" the internet. Its more about risk management then anything.
I mean we are in a world where right now the security solutions are worse then the risk of attack. Right now attacks are done mainly with social engineering and the new systems make bonzi buddy look tame.
There is little point punishing my self by changing my windows 7 machine that I like just so that I can change out old vulnerabilities with new ones. I swear software fear mongering runs half the industry right now on nothing other then inertia.
Oh, you sweet summer child.
Are You Pregnant Yet? Chinese officials have begun knocking on doors, asking women about their family planning intentions
The question “Are you pregnant yet?” is becoming more common in China. The government is pressuring women to have children. With a shrinking population, China faces economic challenges. Of

WA teen loses legs because a company, the school, and the Department of Labor and Industry all fucked up and continue to do so.

This isn’t crime fighting. It’s an actual crime — a blatant, naked theft carried out by officers, Libertarian Party Chair Evan McMahon writes.
