It's not about actual leftists; leftist policy is where you naturally get when you do things for the people. And both people like politicians who do things for them and hate politicians who don't. Democrats think they can get people to show up by doing nothing and they simply can't. I can't find it now but I saw an article around here that shows how as the election came closer Harris dropped anti-establishment rhetoric such as taxing wealth and combating price gouging and defined her platform by being a conservative, not being Trump and that idiotic border wall. Coincidentally, as she did that support for her dropped.
True enough but the DNC is absolutely not innocent here with how they like to fuck around in their primaries.
To be... Fair??? Technically according to the ceasefire they get to do that for the time being. Still an asshole move to put it lightly but technically that part isn't violating the ceasefire.
Maybe try to fix the world and work with what we have instead of putting all your eggs in the basket of "at least we have heaven after".
I mean he says exactly that.
Then when (if) Hezbollah fires back they're going to cry about the ceasefire.
Like I said, anyone who cares about that was going to vote Harris either way. The people who didn't show up are the people who didn't care about that comparison, or at least didn't care enough to go vote. Harris failed to appeal to these people in part because independently of Trump she didn't have coherent policy leading up to the election.
That's the thing: It's some groups. Trump has extreme political appeal with people who will reliably show up to vote for him, but to everyone else he's a boogyman who motivates them to vote against him. Because of that he gives his opponent enough of an advantage to counteract the effect he has on his voters, but an incompetent candidate who can't make good use of that advantage (which isn't accomplished by yelling "I'm not him" all the time) will get unceremoniously steamrolled. It just happens to be that the DNC is hilariously incompetent.
When you keep walking back on your promises two months before the election that's called not having coherent policy. Running on saving democracy is not having coherent policy. "There's not a thing that comes to mind" is not coherent policy. The only policies she stuck to until election day were the insane border wall and watered down Biden campaign promises.
I mean why are you comparing with Trump? Anyone who cares about that comparison was going to vote for her anyway.
They stole the house race by having coherent policy
They... Didn't though. That's exactly why they lost.
Uh... I see nothing here about Hezbollah attacking Israel.
To be fair Biden's "nothing will fundamentally change" is a lot better with context. "There's not a thing that comes to mind" is fucking inexcusable though.
The message was also not clear because the margins of victory were small.
Yes, but remember: Their opponent was Trump. They should've cinched this election.
Do you have a source? Everything I'm finding says Trump got a higher share of latino voters than other Republicans but the majority still voted for Harris.
Um... Literally all ethnic groups voted for Trump. If you don't want fascist enablers you'll have to delete America off the map or delete the DNC off the map.
Uh... The only democracy in the middle east?
It'll be (kinda already is) a synonym of "get worse".
I looked up the former and he wasn't arrested by the ICC though?
Man spewing memetic hazards like there's no tomorrow.
I'm not American but okay.
and many countries in Asia people live a much higher quality of life than here in America.
Okay? Many others have much worse quality of life than America, but either way that's not what I'm talking about. Democracy isn't about having a good quality of life. That is, of course, the ultimate goal, but the essence of democracy is when a people have peaceful, legal means to do something about not having a good quality of life. That is completely different from non-democracies, where when the government announces extra taxes on the poor the only thing you can do is revolt or shut up. I come from one of these, which is why I'm saying America is a democracy; I know what it would look like if it wasn't and for starters half the people in this thread would be arrested.
