Laws aren't moral because they're laws.
It is very much the topic. Read the room.
It’s not necessarily religion that is the problem here. It’s that people who don’t have critical reasoning skills are drawn to religion.
Not in all cases, sure. But in quite a number of them religion is encouraging that kind of behavior. They tell themselves and others to have faith, to not rely upon evidence, that testing god is a sin, etc. They actively discourage critical thinking and reasoning skills, which is a catalyst for the more dangerous stuff like qanon, anti vaccine rhetoric, etc.
We might still be in this boat without religion, but at the very least we'd have less holes.
If only we could have predicted this.
Fucking mood.
Take what I said with a massive grain of salt though. Even if I didn't oops a digit, the number of launches the military could have hijacked for this is very limited, and the number of them very limited.
If there are any in orbit, I'd wager its less than a dozen or so.
The space shuttle had a 60ft long bay, with a LEO payload capacity of 27,500 kg to LEO, 16,050 kg to the ISS, or 10,890 kg to geostationary orbit.

Tungsten has a density of 19.254 g/cm3
A 30ft tall, 1ft diameter cylinder is about 667,199 cm3. Made of tungsten, it would be 13,343.99 kg, or 13 metric tons. In 1995 the price per metric ton of tungsten was $20,674.11 after adjusting for inflation, or $268,763.43 for the entire rod.

Please check my math on this if you like, as I am very sleep deprived.
But the point is, it is well within the payload capacity of the tech we had, and the military budget. And the U.S. military would have absolutely been willing and able to hijack a ride on a shuttle, when the shuttle program was active.
That's another favorite of mine as well.
And I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were a few sets of them in orbit right now.
Don't forget to add an extra 25% for all the companies using the tariffs as excuses to raise prices further to extract profit.
They did it with covid, they'll do it again now.
Yeah, it is an absolutely terrifying concept.
"Let's make a weapon so awful, that it can fly around for basically forever, spreading nuclear fallout everywhere it travels at breakneck speeds, and load it up with a dozen or so nuclear bombs, only to cancel the project because the russians would absolutely make this machine as well"
What's worse is the implication of this being revealed to the public. The only way something like this gets unclassified if the military has something stronger/better. Maybe that's ICBMs, maybe something else. Spooky shit either way.
Purity tests just make adoption of positive change slower.
Economy of scales
Active directory for both, against my will. It's all three
FUCK active directory
if he decides “if I die, the world dies”, we’re doomed.
Unlikely, he's got kids.
They're hardly in a corner. They could stop invading and broker a peace deal at any time.
Russia still has plenty of nukes, and they could fire them all before anybody has time to react. If that nuke is an ICBM, though, as soon as it leaves the silo the world would know, and the counter barrage of nukes would be firing up before it even lands.
Obviously an ICBM is armageddon. However a tacticsl nuke, one dropped from a plane or something onto Ukraine would be a different story.
The world will be far less inclined to launching ICBMs over that. So it's just a game of how much they can get away with.
PSA: Any old rail blueprint books you've had may have some issues
So it turns out all of the rails in my old blueprint book are now labeled as legacy rails. They are semi compatible with the new rail system, but not completely. To the credit of the devs, they work together so seamlessly that I didn't notice until I hit the 50 hour mark for my current save.
But that's the issue, at least for me. About half of my rail network is legacy rails, the rest the new stuff. And worse, the grid doesn't perfectly align between them, so creating new blueprints that align with the old rails doesn't really work.
From what I can tell, it doesn't really effect anything. But if any of you are about to start a new save and use an old blueprint book, it's probably worth updating it all.

This one is a long one, but a high quality video that explains a lot. Definitely worth listening to in the background if you have the chance to add to your watch later playlist.
PSA: Maybe don't buy these shitty extruders
I spent entirely way too much time trying to get one of these style extruders on my Ender 3. Maybe I picked a knock off without realizing it, maybe mine was just defective, I'm not entirely sure.
But it was ultimately the cause for my printer underextruding on certain layers. If you need a new extruder, go for something better than these cheap $20 ones and get an actually decent one.
But on the bright side, my printer is finally fixed! It feels nice to be able to get back into the hobby again.
