Here's a $120usd FLIR - how does it compare with a cheap plug in USB phone module?

Guess it's just missing a mounting case?

20240520 UPDATE: I just ran winupdate on an ancient win10 surface and after the same 643 error two more times, and running through all the available updates, it's now reporting I'm up to date. yippee. I guess the latest update finally fixed it, at least on the Surface.

Anyone tried and succeeded? Not too awful plodding through the resizing? Tips to avoid destroying a partition and having to reinstall the os?

My pixel phone has meager storage. Could I use an old phone with bountiful SD space to serve up media via Bluetooth?

Any ideas if this would work practically speaking?

Edit: Looking for a functional equivalent of on-device storage space, i.e., for offline media consumption

USB phone jack is often used for power, so it's unlikely available for OTG storage

Battery life in the server phone should be ok since it will be running in airplane mode with only Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth, and display off mostly
