It’s so pervasive that they have found it in the bodies of every single child worldwide.
I did that well into the late 90s when I was staying with my grandparents. Nothing to do with snowstorms. If someone was stupid enough to risk walking that far out of the way, and getting shot, they probably deserved that old Honda.
These are objective facts as opposed to random ravings of lunatics. Remember that Fox News’ own lawyers claim that it’s not actually news but rather is entertainment only.
The east coast has more big cities than those other places, but there are still. HUGE number of teeny-tiny dying towns all up and down the eastern seaboard.
Kids that aren’t even born yet (debt spending).
Twitter was a vapid load of crap before Elmo took it over. I see this as a win if it knocks him down a peg or 44 billion.
Right, but stick with me here... what if they could make MORE money? All they need to do is stop requiring them to clean out the lead in the toxic waste that they dump on their worker's towns and the owners can put that money into another vacation house.
Or corporations who want to have a say. BP Oil will happily drop off a shipping container of cash at a "volunteer's" house if it means that they eliminate inspections of oil platforms in the gulf.
Corporations will be stumbling over themselves to insert HIGHLY paid people into these positions.
These are the people that invented automation. Why do a job when you can have a machine do it for you?
Or, as another commenter pointed out, because their corporate bosses are paying gobs of money to them to 'volunteer' for these positions.
I hadn't thought of that, but this is 100% exactly what will happen. BP oil will surely pay someone VERY handsomely to 'volunteer' 80 hours a week toward eliminating all oversight of drilling rigs in the gulf.
It was less about the .99 pricing and more about "Sale" pricing and 'coupons'. Retailers will put a pair of pants on "Sale" for 50% off 51 weeks out of the year and people think they're getting a great deal whereas when it's not half off, they just don't buy.
I'm in the opposite boat. My inlaws are all MAGA whereas my wife and I are very much liberal. This is 'her' year for visiting family and she does want to go, but I've already warned her that her entire family is on the THINNEST of ice. It's going to take a miracle for us to actually stay. I'm sort of looking forward to the first comment from them where we can simply scoop up the kids and head out.
Seriously, older than the internet.
This happens once in a while with my washer as well. My determination is that it starts to spin and is so far out of balance that it has to refill and swirl the clothes around a bit, then drain it to hopefully get a more even balance of mass so that it can properly spin. It's much worse when there are large items, like a blanket that tend to lump on one side.
This makes me sad. I installed a loud as fuck exhaust on my car, but it broke sound limits at the track so I had to get a quieter setup. Mostly I’m sad because of my tiny penis tho.
I took my kids out, one is almost 3 and the other is just over a year. So few houses in our neighborhood had ANY appearance of anyone home, let alone participating that it took nearly two hours to get about 15 houses. In a pretty standard suburb. At least two houses that were heavily decorated had nobody home and no bowl out. Two also had colorful lights but when we knocks on the door they looked confused when there were two toddlers yelling at them. One just shut the door in our face and the other sort of stood there for a minute with his mouth agape and finally said “I don’t have anything”. I mentioned to that guy that he MIGHT want to turn his lights off or there would be kids all night, but walking past at the end of our evening, all his lights were on still.
I left a bowl on my porch and had two small groups of respectful kids each take a couple pieces each (video doorbells have changed the game a little).

Texas rolling blackouts, rinse and repeat!
The report found that energy demand throughout the state of Texas could reach as high as 78,000 megawatts in August. And city and county officials will open 22 cooling centers for the summer.
Here's your twice-annual warning! Texas' power grid can't handle cold OR hot! Has anyone tried cutting taxes and banning people from bathrooms? That'll probably make this better.
Texas asks people to stop driving their cars LOL
Ozone pollution is expected to reach a concerning level on Friday.
Because riding my bike 11 miles to work in 95 degree heat with unhealthy air to breathe is totally an option! I'd rather take my mega-bro-dozer pickup, in case I need to buy 1000lbs of mulch... /Sarc
Trackdaybro
I didn't even think of making a S2000 community! Good idea! I'm based in Texas, USA and my '04 is primarily a trackday toy. Its currently street legal, but I've started towing it to events, as I don't want to break down and not be able to get it home. The photo is an old one, back when I had just got the car.
My Rides
Another kickoff post: I've got track experience in 3 cars - What's everyone else driving? I have a 04 S2000 that is shared duty between street and track, I'm on a Lemons team with a Nissan S14, and have driven a buddy's 350Z in a Champcar race.
Tracks I've been to
To kick us off, I'll list the places that I've been. Feel free to ask questions about any of them and I'll try to answer!

~Motorsport Ranch Cresson 3.1 - One trackday

Creating a Community issue?
Is the community creation causing issues for anyone else at the moment? I've been trying for a few hours now to create a community, but I'm suffering the spinning wheel forever. I'm assuming that it's just overloaded server, but in case someone has a hint, I'd appreciate it!
DFW Toddler Resources
My wife and I have a toddler and a newborn. I figure a thread on play-places, parks and kid-friendly events is a good idea :)
Even though malls are dying, we take the kids to play at
~Willow Bend - Half dead mall. Playplace is nice, but ratio of climb-ables to space means this one is better suited to running around than play.
~ Lewisville (music city). 80% dead mall. A couple small slides for the littles, and a big climbing gym for the bigger kids. Usually quite a bit quieter than any other mall, and you can generally let the littles run wild in the mall halls as it's so dead.
~ Stonebriar - fairly thriving mall. Playplace is PACKED with climbable stuff (almost too packed) and fairly small, especially for how busy it gets at times.
~ Prestonwood Church - Play place is free and not at a mall! Really better for kids out of the toddler stage.
