Palworld announces Terraria crossover
  • They would still have to face the courts in Japan if they want to sell in Japan.

Your line of thinking is the same thing that X fell for with Brazil. Just because you don't have your HQ in a particular country doesn't mean the legal system can be ignored. Otherwise the EU wouldn't be gifting fines to Google and Apple every 15 minutes.

  • The Palnoctahedron. "It's a totally different shape and it's just the fact that it's very small, and we enabled smooth shading, that makes it look like we haven't done anything to it."

  • You cannot copyright a vague idea. No matter how much Nintendo might want to.

The game is basically just magic animals in the world that you can capture and do things with. It's literally every JRPG ever. It's just mounts with extra features.

  • Nintendo are suing them, but Nintendo sue everyone.

The Japanese copyright courts are stupid, it doesn't matter how clearly something isn't a case, it still goes to trial if one of the parties is big and important enough. They don't seem to have proper separation of law and government. So political bigwigs can get involved.

  • There's no way they get that much in benefits.

I know the benefit system they spend the entire time trying to get around paying anybody anything, anytime they feel like they've not hassled you for a while they send people around to check on you.

There is no way wau anon is getting away with that. They hardly ever pay the legitimate claimants

  • I finish my current job in December and my new job doesn't start until March, for some reason. So I'm going to be Neet for that time. Or does the fact that I have a job, it just hasn't started yet, preclude me

  • Valve has created a Steam Bluesky account
  • Even my parents know what blue sky is. This is from the people that were concerned that my emails wouldn't be able to find me when I moved house. Because "how would they know which house to go to now?"

If even they've heard of the platform, it's reached the mass market.

  • Valve has created a Steam Bluesky account
  • People are constantly say the same thing about Steam yet I don't see any kind of pushback against everyone using that platform. Yeah it'll suck when it eventually happens but that doesn't mean I should have to use a more irritating service in the interim.

  • Upset
  • Perhaps I'm just unsympathetic but I've never really understood people who get overly stressed about social media.

Sure there are definitely upsetting things and upsetting people but there's also cat pictures, mini documentaries about the invention of the LED, and discussions about the minutia of a plot detail in a TV show that hasn't been on air in 30 years.

Just filter out the bad stuff if you don't like it.

  • I think you misunderstand the relationship Microsoft has with corporations. If they turn on something like this after the fact while promising to do the opposite previously they will get thoroughly railed in court and then no one will ever buy their products ever again.

The reason that companies use Windows rather than running everything on Linux is the absolutely enormous support base that Windows has. The moment it becomes more problematic to use Windows than to just deal with the support issues of a Linux OS is the moment that everyone will switch to Linux.

  • Spoiler text renders as white on white when revealed

When you reveal a spoiler the black rectangles go away and it then renders the text in white, but on a white background (light coloured theme) The text renders is exactly the same colour as the background and so you can not see it unless you highlight the post, this renders the background of the post as light grey and there is just about enough contrast difference to now read the text.

When spoiler text is revealed it should render in the same colour as normal text. I'm not sure why it's white.

    See images below for demonstration.

    !spoiler text is hidden

!spoiler text has been revealed but is invisible

!text post is highlighted and now you can see the spoiler text rendered in white
