Guys, what did you buy during the Steam autumn sale?
I went ahead and bought a bunch of indie games, picked up Darkchaser, Oxygen Not Included, and UFO50, and also grabbed Cities: Skylines. Got used to the launch prices of some AAA games, buying these discounted low-priced games really doesn't hurt much.
The only thing I care about on the store right now is the factorio dlc, and that's never gonna go on sale. I'll probably buy that once I finish all the achievements for satisfactory.
I can only recommend it. After about 60 hours I finally landed on vulcanus and I'm now experiencing the feeling of how it is to getting used to all of these long and complex Ressource chains.
After 60 hours I finally left Gleba. As soon as I got "home" had to head back to Gleba. Still stuck there. In the beginning I hate Gleba, now I love it. It gave me back the feeling of playing Factorio for the first time, running around and know nothing (and I I have over 3.5k hours).
10/10 would recommend the DLC.
My only word if caution is that the gage will start you on Scout, and it feels miserable. You'll unlock Fiber pretty quickly, so it doesn't hurt for too long. The Warthog is completely cracked. If you see it, take it. Have fun, miner!
FF7 Remake. I tried a "demo" and have been waiting for a sale. It's still more than I'd like to spend on the game, but I want to go back and continue my saved game.
I bought this last time it was on sale, and while the game is fun I have a word of warning for people looking to buy this to play with friends: The online is NOT stable!
It often hangs while connecting to a race and waits for the server upwards of multiple minutes. That's bad since a race itself can be a minute or two long. Also, you can't race against each other with AI cars, the options are either playing co-op which is piss easy or face each other alone. Races are just a bit lonely with 2 or 3 players.
Multiplayer aside, Forza is a really fun time, I just wouldn't buy it if you're mainly looking to play with friends.
Edit. I'm not sure what the difference is between deluxe and ultimate but for a couple more dollars i got the ultimate. Might as well while it's still available.
Edit again: i launched the game and it gets stuck at Xbox let's get you signed in and doesn't do anything from there... i saw something about deleting a credentials XBL file or something. I'll try that later.
Edit again again: so i installed the game on another device and it seems like my other display resolution might be messing with the dialog box and i couldn't see the login button but just clicking enter when i knew the prompt was there i was able to connect blind.
Yeah I got the steam deck in the early spring this year and am still trying to get through Witcher 3 and fallout 4. I have a handful of games I got for PC back 15 years ago on steam that I still need to work on after that
Man I'm the same. I have a couple hours screen time after work but often I'm tired an just wanna read a book.
I've only just started gaming again after a twenty year gap so I've got a big wishlist. I get excited about games that I want to play, buy them on sale - and then don't have time to play them.
I started gaming when pong and space invaders were cutting edge. There's just so much cool stuff out there these days, damn we're lucky, I just wish I had more playtime!
Haven't bought yet but I'm thinking of getting Old School Rally. I played a few racing games that looked just like this when I was a child so the visuals are giving me intense nostalgia
I played this one and wasn't super impressed with it. It's fine but the levels are very simple and don't have that dangerous rally style to them. It felt more like you're just driving on casual dirt roads.
This game is fun! It's still early access, but it is worth the regular price. There's a decent amount of courses and the driving physics are fun. If you are talking about the old Colin McCrae games this will be your jam.
I already played Haven on GamePass a few years ago, but I wanted to own it because it's very good (also to support the developers). As for Talos, I played the original twice and absolutely loved it, so I'm eager to play the sequel.
I played Talos principal 2 this year and it honestly blew me away. It goes without saying the puzzles were intriguing but the story, world building, atmosphere and dialogue are the real stars of the experience.
Made sure to only buy some Indies.
As I wanna make sure in the future as well.
While I aint moneybags but more stable than the start od the year.
I wanna make sure I buy one indie game a month when in able to.
I got a steam deck last spring, before that I've not done any gaming since I had a PS2 so I've got a good twenty years of games to catch up on. It's a bit frustrating how crap I am at gaming, particularly with shooters. I'm trying some different things to try and figure out what I'm into. I recently finished bioshock, so I just bought bioshock infinite. Also alien isolation, Alan wake, resident evil, and Uncharted legacy of thieves collection. I don't get a lot of screen time but I'll find time to try em out and see what grabs me.
Hmm no I haven't. Thanks, maybe I should give it a try. I guess trackpad aim is just using the pads instead of the joystick? I've not used gyros at all, does that require tilting the device? Yeah I seem to be enjoying FPS games but I'm frustrated by how shit I am even on easy mode! I used to be good at unreal tournament way back but seems like games have come a long way since then and I've lost the knack.
Slime Rancher for $2 is 100% worth it! It's one of those games where gameplay becomes kind of meandering once you've seen the sights and built the things, but it's a very unique experience.
IronPineapple played through the demo of that one for a video a couple months ago. It seemed like an interesting game that was a mix of singleplayer and MMO elements. At first glance it'll look like a gooner game.
I will probably buy Horizon Forbidden West for my son. Told him to wait until it is discounted. But 40 € is still very much the full price of many other games. And we already bought all the Christmas presents this year. Decisions decisions.
At least I've still got a few more days to decide.
I‘m considering getting Sizeable and the collection of all the games the Hook guy has made - so basically a buncha puzzle games. I‘m also looking at Psychonauts 2 and the „new“ NFS cause both are five bucks so I‘m like what the hell why not. And Hotline Miami 2, I‘m in the mood for some senseless violence. To top it off, Streets of Rogue and The Messenger. All of it together would come in at exactly 29.99 for me lol
There‘s other games I want more, but they‘re all still more expensive (or close to) than this whole bundle so it‘s not really worth it IMO considering the amount of games I still got anyway.
