DYK that Lemmy now auto-plays videos **WITH SOUND**?!?
  • I don't know if this will be helpful, and I'm not sure I have ever seen a video before, but I looked at the link, and while I have to click to open the image/video, it immediately starts playing (mbin). Unsure if normal behavior since I dont think I have opened a video before. Firefox fork on Android.

  • I am curious about the source for this. Very strange and unhelpful.

  • Similar conversations were held regarding Patriot Act, etc. At least some folks speak up.

  • I've just discovered that moldy cheese tastes like what dirt/soil smells like
  • You probably shouldn't eat that kind of moldy cheese. It's hard to say what type of fungus you just ate. It isn't the same as what is done intentionally.

  • people pushing the top of the window to bend the frame a bit to make it seal better!

This is what causes the issue to begin with. Close the door with the door, not the window. That has been a known issue for decades.

  • I think the difference between then, and now, is that the average Subaru driver 15 years ago had a different skillset. I don't remember this being discussed on forums then, but folks did replace seals. It's normal maintenance on that type of window. It isn't an "issue," although we could argue it is a "feature" haha.

  • I never experienced that with a Subaru I had ~15 years ago. Not even in a car wash. There may be a reason, but I dont see how this could be it. Maybe wind noise?

  • Wow ya maybe now I have a use for the 10 year old phone I have been keeping. Thanks for sharing motion project!

  • Dang. Not sure what kind of person he was, but what a great thing to have on a tombstone!

  • As Firefox turns 20, Mozilla ponders how to restore it to its former glory | TechCrunch
  • Doesn't half (or more?) of the discussion revolve around the fact that Firefox isn't shipped with any product? We have known for literal decades that most folks will not change what the OS ships with. This was part of the Microsoft monopoly issue, yes? Now we have it with them again, and Google. Apple is a little more complicated I guess.

Firefox works fine, bit of isn't part of any major package, and not all websites test for it. I don't know what Mozilla can do to overcome this.

  • From what little I have read, it seems like broader Europe is working towards that and other things without the US, but some countries have their own right wing issues.

  • Thanks for sharing. I was never actually a reddit member, but I was a long time viewer. I probably don't really know what reddit was like. Not as a member. I still use that one forum, but mostly I view here.

  • I migrated from kbin. My experience on the instance I am using has been different, but I wasn't a big user before. I actually feel like there are more posts on some major areas now than a year ago summer, but I dont know about wholesale usage.
