Hey son, it’s me, ur mom. Can you pretty please have sex with your wife for me and your dad 👉👈🥺. Your dad and I want you to uproot your entire life so that your wifey can pump out little mini versions of you so we can feel what it’s like to raise children again but without any of the responsibility. Pwetty please with a cherry 🍒 on top😩🥵
Yeah that’s fair
Where is the lie? They don’t sell your data. That’s not how they operate. In fact, they want to keep your data as secure as possible so no one else can use it.
They build models from user data and basically sell those models to businesses. Models that can be used to manipulate behavior and distort reality.
Data brokers, on the other hand…they sell your data.
You shouldn’t let that limit yourself. Contrary to popular belief, the brain is much more fluid and adaptable than previously thought. IQ tests give a single number to represent something as complex as human intelligence, and while psychometrics can provide some kind of quantitative insight into how our brains process, organize, and distill information, it is by no means wholly representative of intelligence.
You have the capability to learn and grow. Maybe it takes a tad bit longer, but with determination and willpower (something not measured with IQ tests), you can learn just about anything.
I have MUCH more respect and appreciation for those who work hard to achieve their goals than I do for those who are naturally talented but stay within their comfort zones. If you challenge and push yourself, I think you’d be surprised with how far you can end up going 🙂
Edit: I should say, I’m sorry if you’ve heard this a million times. I’m sure it’s annoying when people just tell you “Oh all you have to do is try harder! Easy!” I’m not trying to suggest it’s easy. Or that IQ tests don’t mean anything. But if I could recommend one thing to do, it would be to look into recent developments on neuroscience of the flexibility and adaptability of the brain. It’s fairly recent research, but strongly suggests that the brain is much more dynamic and fluid than we previously thought (when IQ tests were created).
Is there any evidence of this? Not saying I disagree (and honestly wouldn’t be too surprised if this were the case), but just because it’s the “other team” that’s making the claim doesn’t necessarily equate to automatically being “bad”.
We gotta take statements, evidence, and arguments at face value. I have no idea what their intentions are or what the actual plan is (since it’s almost impossible to find any consistency within the GOP), but opening up psychedelics, in a controlled manner, could do wonders for society.
She is treating the relationship and trust as transactional. No bueno.
Sure thing, bud. And I have just as much of a right to tell you to shut the fuck up. The guy was just sharing an experience. He wasn’t looking for a fucking debate.
American here. I understood most of what you said, except for the phrase “living wage”. Could you explain this to me? I’ve never heard of it before.
They sure as hell act like it though
I swear sometimes people here are just looking for anything to argue about haha
Dude lmao shut up
Throw away computer. Once vim is open, it can no longer be exited
A speck of evidence for your hypothesis, since it’s pretty specific. But given you’ve lived there for a while, I’d say you know what you’re talking about.
Was just curious, as some people here just like to make up shit.
And Walmart will but only by a tinsy tiny bit. That’s why they’re coming out and saying this.
Is there even a speck of evidence for this? Or is this pure speculation? Are you from Laos and know the area well?
Ah, great to know! I’ll be taking my kids down there for some blue octopus pets 😁
I mean I agree with the general sentiment.
However, I also understand the previous commenter’s reasoning (or not…I might be shoving words in their mouth).
I think, especially in today’s world where basic technical competence is essentially a must, that in order to perform your job duties to a certain level of standard expected by your client or employer, you need to be able to perform basic technical problem solving. And I think this includes being able to figure out how to google “screen share, Windows”. And this includes many professions.
Surgeon? Maybe not. I just want to have a good surgeon.
But attorney and accountant? I would expect that if information needed to be shared with me, especially with urgency, that they would be able to confidently do so quickly, which may include setting up a quick zoom call (use Jitsi people!).
So actually I disagree with you- I actually may screen out certain professions if they show they lack basic technical competence, like setting up a video call, or creating a spreadsheet.
Sliding Sands Trail - Kula, Hawaii
One of my favorite trails. The change of landscape along the trail makes for a very beautiful and interesting hike.
