  • Two days and many hours later and I still don't get how you thought my original comment was written by a "hyperconservative." I took it as a joke at first, but it seems like you were serious about your accusation. Why is that?

  • Can we get a NSFW tag for these please? I don't want people thinking that I jackoff to 1800s oil paintings of naked women.

YSK: There is a list of volunteer computing projects where you can donate CPU/GPU time to help researchers globally with their scientific problems.
  • I currently have tasks qued/being worked on, from World Community Grid, yoyo@home, and Rosetta@home.

I just started running tasks for yoyo[@home, and by golly. These tasks are freaking HUGE! The shortest task estimate is 2 days, and 18 hours.

Rosetta@home offered up tasks that took me more than a day for most, to be completed.

World Community Grid has been the best in completing tasks and not taking more than a day to finish. The longest estimated time to completion has been under 9 hours.

  • YSK: There is a list of volunteer computing projects where you can donate CPU/GPU time to help researchers globally with their scientific problems.
  • That's a good question.

From what I've gathered from my recent experience of running tasks, the project might have started years ago, but they are still offering tasks to be completed.

    OP is also tried.

  • Anybody here watching Arcane season 2?
  • Arcane season two is on my TV Shows To Watch List. I'm currently watching The Legend of Vox Machina. I just finished season two last night. I highly recommend it if you haven't yet seen it.

I'm stoked to watch season two of Arcane!

  • What the heck is this thing I found at the top of a hill surrounded by trees and not at all from the Oregon coast? (Google Maps link)
  • I thought it might be a helipad as well, but the proximity of the trees around it rules that out. Even if there was a skilled enough pilot with the right weather and air current conditions... It would be quite a challenging land. Let along take off. Why would there be a helipad there in the first place, was a following question I had, and couldn't determine.
