Lost_My_Mind @lemmy.world The park. You're going to the park. Everyday. If you live in a warm environment with a beach, that's where you're going. That park.

29 0 Reply200ok @lemmy.world A journey to every cigarette but and used tissue in sight 😂
4 0 ReplyZachariah @lemmy.world life is not about the destination
5 0 ReplyLost_My_Mind @lemmy.world Well that sucks. The journey has been terrible. I have not enjoyed the last 41 years. Also, I'm 41.

BeatTakeshi @lemmy.world Not all those who wander are lost. Sometimes they just play dog roulette
25 0 ReplyPhoonzang @lemmy.world That's why I call my cat a guide cat. He guides me to lolll around on the couch for 22h a day
1 0 ReplyTiefling IRL @lemmy.blahaj.zone I have a Shiba. Walking her is like walking a cat, so I beg to differ
18 0 ReplyViking_Hippie @lemmy.world Nobody said she had to be a GOOD guide dog to count 🤷

erotador @lemmy.blahaj.zone sometimes I just close my eyes and see where my dog takes me, is fun, mentally hard, but fun.
13 0 Replytheangryseal @lemmy.world I do this too. :p
The neighbors must think I’m insane.
I try to count the steps and see if I can make it further than before. My record is like 140.
It’s very mentally hard. I’m always thinking, “oh I’ve gotta be going down someone’s driveway now!”
9 0 Replyerotador @lemmy.blahaj.zone I try to use the dip in the curb for driveways to tell if I'm going the right way

Mr_Blott @feddit.uk As long as you only want to go to places that smell of piss
10 0 Replyrumba @lemmy.zip As long as you don't mind going to all the smelliest places.
6 0 ReplyLifeInMultipleChoice @lemmy.world Psh, as I've grown older I am hoping the dog would just be a lazy dog and just suggest we lay down and take a nap

kyub @discuss.tchncs.de Similarly helpful advice: a broken clock still shows the correct time twice a day.
7 0 ReplyLucy :3 @feddit.org I'd say a dog would still go to predictable places eg. they'd go for a walk on their usual route (maybe a bit larger).
6 0 ReplyKecessa @sh.itjust.works I often let my dog choose where we're walking and he takes it as an opportunity to update all the places he knows in town, so we end up walking a 5k loop, it's just more chaotic than when I'm leading.
8 0 Replyfmstrat @lemmy.nowsci.com I had a Husky. For me it would have been the random path of deer, rabbits, and random people's driveways. He had no sense of direction, and cared not for walking norms.

elooto @lemmy.ml While backpacking in Ireland, my friend and I visited the small island of Inish Oirr. We had all day to explore the island so set off without any route planned. A black dog tagged along and soon started guiding our way. He would loop back and stop to wait for us at turns. We followed him blindly through the maze of stone walls. He led us to a lake, a lighthouse, and a shipwreck. He always seemed excited to show us the next landmark. We literally followed a dog from morning until sunset. It felt as though he had done this many times before. He was such a good boy.
