I hate to be that guy, but they may not be aware of alternatives.
Same thing with email. It's all well and good if you're using ProtonMail or Tuta or Posteo, but you're still cooked if the other side is using Gmail.
Old problems, new modi operandi.
9xbuddy works fine to download age-restricted videos. It's probably not FOSS, though.
Nah, there's a PVC pipe next to the bowl. This will likely connect to an overhead tank (like we had back in the really old days), which is just out of shot.
Doesn't work for &pp=
yet, though. At least, it doesn't on ESR (and, by extension, Tor Browser and Mullvad Browser).
Yes
Are there any communities where I can ask for people with newspaper subscriptions to donate paywalled articles?
I am trying to get the full version of an article in AdAge, which is paywalled. Unfortunately, 13ft ladder gets blocked by AdAge's DDoS protection, Internet Archive doesn't return the full article, and my university can't help (despite having access to the publication).
However, people with subscriptions to AdAge can "donate" articles to non-paying individuals. Seeing as how I only need the one article, I am asking around online if anyone can help.
Is there a community on Lemmy where it would be appropriate to ask?
I was not aware about Tyson being a rapist. Thanks for bringing this up. Damn them both.

Of course, I made the mistake of posting this exclusively on platforms where I hold the same opinions as everyone else.
Spectra is a PeerTube instance dedicated to supporting original content creators, and building the video community within the fediverse!
Great idea, but unfortunately technicalities won't get me marks.
Oh, I haven't handed it in yet. We were supposed to write our own methods.
You guys just need time, I think. I'll probably be a proud Mojeek user in the future, but for now I need something a bit different. That said, I have found Mojeek to be excellent for finding smaller blogs and articles that I wouldn't otherwise have read, so it's still pretty useful even if I don't use it as my main engine.
"I asked for extra ranch; not a freaking McCumshot!"
KDE spotted in Dexter!
Spotted in episode 108 ("Shrink Wrap"). I think it's KDE 2, judging by the icon. I don't recognise any of the software, though.
Unfortunately, this particular laptop was owned by Dr. Meridian, a manipulative psychiatrist who caused the suicides of a number of women in his care. Fortunately, Dexter deals with him good and proper...
